It is Tuesday. The day was long, dinner is done, and there is a window of about an hour and a half before you need to sleep. You do not want to think hard. You also do not want to spend forty minutes scrolling through rows of posters until the evening is gone.
Say it the way you would say it to a friend
You press the Ask Orb button and say: “I have 90 minutes. Something funny, nothing heavy.” No genre menu, no exact title. Orb takes the time limit, the mood and the thing you do not want, and looks through the films and series on the services you have chosen.
A few choices appear right on the home screen. Each one shows how long it is, where it is available and a short note on why it fits tonight.
Change your mind in one sentence
The first pick looks familiar. You say you have already seen it, and the shortlist changes. You do not start again; Orb keeps what it already knows about tonight and adjusts.
The time limit stays.
The mood stays.
The title you have seen drops out.
From choice to sofa
You pick a title and open it in the service that carries it. Orb steps aside and the film starts in that service’s app. The whole thing took a couple of minutes.
Why it matters
Most evenings are not lost to bad films. They are lost to choosing. Ordinary words, practical limits and a short list you can react to make the choice quick, so the evening is spent watching.
